Mayflash Gamecube Adapter Issues for OSX

So I have a Mayflash gamecube controller adapter that was working perfectly fine for only the first input. After trying a couple things (https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-os-x-gcn-adapter-kext-testers-wanted) to get all 4 ports to work, Dolphin is no longer detecting the adapter at all... and I have no idea why.

I'm running Yosemite 10.10.5, and the most recent version of Dolphin (4.0 - 8390).

Update - First port works now, but only if the adapter is on PC mode. Even though the controller works, it says "adapter not detected".... thoroughly dumbfounded.

Dolphin will not detect when MAYFLASH Adapter is in PC mode.

Switch it to Wii U mode then read this:
Dolphin Wiki Wrote:Dolphin may give false status of the adapter if Direct Connect is unchecked. Check that then restart Dolphin.

https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/how-use-official-gc-controller-adapter-wii-u/

Works?

Nope. I switched the mode to Wii U, restarted Dolphin, but it's still not detecting the adapter. The only difference that occurs is that the controller won't work in Wii-U mode. I have had direct connect checked the whole time.

You have to have it in wii u mode before following those steps.
