Mayflash Dolphinbar with WiiU Pro controller?

I did some searching and couldn't really find the answer I was looking for. The best I've found are a bunch of "maybes" and several videos, threads elsewhere, etc. about connecting the WiiU Pro controller as an XInput. I don't have a Bluetooth adapter so I'm hoping that the Dolphinbar will be able to pick it up and I won't have to buy a separate Bluetooth adapter to use it.

From my understanding, it's essentially just a modified classic controller with the Wiimote bluetooth built in, so(as others have concluded as well) it sounds like it "should" work, but I haven't come across a definite yes or no.

Has anybody confirmed whether or not it works yet?

Also, sorry if this has been answered a million times and I'm just being annoying with my first thread xD

Edit: I don't actually have the Dolphinbar yet, I just discovered it a few hours ago and immediately became ecstatic. I plan on ordering one soon which is why I'm asking now so if need be, I can buy another adapter with it and get that free shipping lol.

It is very unlikely it will work. The DolphinBar works by converting Wii Remote input into HID for the computer, bypassing the bluetooth stack of the computer entirely. It only works on controllers that mayflash has specifically set the DolphinBar to work with. i.e. it doesn't work with the balance board, for example, or wiimote peripherals that are not the nunchuk or classic controller.

So yea, probably not. But you might get lucky? I don't know how the Pro Controller works. It is basically just a classic controller with a wiimote connectivity tech and battery built in. It might be read as a wiimote plus classic controller by the Dolphinbar, and thus work. But it is very unlikely. Still, I definitely want to know what happens if you try it.

As far as I know, Wii U Pro Controllers are identified as RVL-CNT-01-UC, so, if Dolphin Bar look devices by their names, then it probably won't work, it may seek only RVL-CNT-01 and RVL-CNT-01-TR...

Ok cool, thanks for the info. I'll definitely report back as to whether or not it works so people will have a solid answer.

Theoretically, is it possible for support to be added through a firmware update? Obviously that's entirely on Mayflash, but they seem to want to do whatever they can to keep their customers happy and be the best option for new customers.

Also, I'm currently running the most recent stable build. I know I'm going to have to update to at least 4.0-2241 when I receive the Dolphinbar in order to get it to work. Are there any major bugs that I should be aware of or is there a newer development release you would recommend instead?

Just use the latest. The development builds are quite safe with Dolphin, thanks to the PR system and cooperative error checking before things get merged. The only reason it isn't called stable is because of the possibility of temporary bugs to occur in development builds. They are usually fixed within 5 builds of when they are introduced, however.

Nope.avi

I also don't see them adding support because they have a separate piece of hardware specifically for connecting these controllers, didn't know about that.

Hopefully this thread will answer future questions by other members/web surfers.
