So I have one of those new controllers that won't work with a typical bluetooth detector so I bought a mayflash dolphin bar.

I have already updated to the latest firmware on the dolphinbar.

I can sync my dolphinbar with my wii+ RT newer type of controller and it works as a mouse pointer. This controller is official nintendo controller not third party. It's jittery, but it works so that means it must be synced right?

So I press the mode button to mode 3 and try to get it to work in dolphin but when mario cart screen pops up "press a" at the very start, I press "A" and nothing happens. I tried going through every other mode on the dolphinbar and nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong here? Is my dolphinbar defective?

Set Dolphin to use real wiimotes and set the dolphinbar to mode 4. Then enable continuous scanning and disable speaker data.

And if that still doesn't work, reconnect manually by pressing alt f5. Which is required for multi .dol games, like for example Metroid Prime Trilogy anyways.

What mimimi said. Also, the Dolphinbar shouldn't be jittery... mine works beautifully, BUT I have it mounted on top of my tv and had to angle it down just a little bit. It's possible that its reception angles are not as wide as Nintendo's bar, but it's perfect now.
