Have you checked if some other usb device is interfering? Can you try to disable the native gamecube controller support?

USB devices I'm currently using are a Microsoft wireless mouse & keyboard combo, speakers, a wifi dongle, and the DolphinBar which is on its own full-speed usb hub. I could try disconnecting all the others. Can I disable native GC controller support outside of not having any connected and having selected none on each of the ports? If not, this is how I've been operating as is. Side note: I have had the BSOD happen only when playing a game, having just played a game, having Dolphin open, and after the fact of having Dolphin open. It's even happened simply by having Dolphin open with the DolphinBar plugged in, without any wiimotes ever connected, nor any game started during that session. Thus far, it has not happened on a session where I never opened Dolphin. Not saying Dolphin is the main culprit, just noting my experience. 11-06-2015, 06:07 AM

I tested it without any other USB devices plugged in, which was awkward without a mouse. DolphinBar helped me out there However, the sumbish still BSOD'd. So no, it's not a matter of device interference. 11-11-2015, 06:19 AM
Is there anyone on this forum with Windows 10 that can confirm that the DolphinBar (Mode 4) with Dolphin Emu does not cause a BSOD?
I'm looking into to building a new PC (with 3.0 usb ports) but if this is partially due to Windows 10, I'll just grab Windows 7. 11-11-2015, 07:03 AM

I already had long play sessions with Dolphin Bar in both of my setups listed in my signature and didn't experience any BSOD (I was using USB 3.0 but AFAIK there's no difference using USB 2.0, at least here)...

I've done every thing I'm capable of to fix this BSOD all the way down to BIOS. Nothing I've read online helped at all. The only fix I could come up with that showed any potential was running the Dolphin emulator in Windows 7 compatibility mode. I was able to open dolphin, play a few games, attempt to confuse my DolphinBar, and it worked perfectly for hours. I then closed out of Dolphin. Later I reopened it and the BSOD returned. I gave up. I thought that maybe I could reset the compatibility every session to maybe get the same result... but I didn't try it because quite frankly, that'd be torture IMO. All I'm willing to assume anymore is that my dated hardware is somehow incompatible with trying to use the DolphinBar in combination with the Dolphin emulator whilst in the same session. I wanted a new PC anyways. The DolphinBar itself could just be bad I guess. Either way if it doesn't work on my next PC I'll be purchasing my first gun to put holes in its beady blue LED eyes and gifting Mayflash a disgruntled thumbs down O_O Jk, I'm too unambitious to do either. But I'll have angry thoughts! *Shakes fist* |
