Sad
So I got my Mayflash Bar the other day and it has been working great, until I restarted my computer. Now dolphin wont really detect my remote. Im so confused and frustrated. This is whats happening:

When Im able to get my wii remote plus synced to the mayflash bar, lights up fine on the wiimote as if the first player is connected, but when I start a game, it wont detect the remote. I get stuck on game menus with the game waiting for me to press "start" or "a & b".

When I go to "Wiimote"-"Dolphin Wiimote Configuration" and press refresh, it just freezes up and sometimes Dolphin crashes. It used to vibrate my wiimote.

I would be so grateful if someone could help me. I have spent close to 100 dollars on wiimote plus, nunchuk, and mayflash bar.

Can you elaborate please? Answer these specific questions...

1. Are you using continuous scanning?
2. Does the wiimote shake when you start a game (continuous scanning) or hit refresh to connect a wiimote (without continuous scanning).
3. Is your wiimote a Wii Remote Plus?
4. Have you updated the DolphinBar?
5. Does the game fuss at you to connect a wiimote or does it assume it is connected? (you weren't entirely clear on that, so just making sure)

1. Continous Scanning is on. I have tried with both.
2. Wiimote does not shake when starting game or pressing refresh to connect a wiimote. (When I start game, it says "wiimote 1 disconnected" in yellow in top left corner.
3. Yes, Wiimote Plus
4. Dont know how to update dolphin bar. I thought maybe If i uninstalled the dolphin bar and replugged it in it might help, but Im not sure where to find my Dolphin bar under device manager. I have so many different USB ports active.
5. Depends on the game. Some I just get stuck at menu, and some say "Connection with wiimote has been lost". This message was also happening when I left the game idle for about minutes or more and I had to restart dolphin (lost saved game data).

The dolphin bar and wiimote appear to be synced(& I can use keyboard/mouse mode), but it seems like Dolphin is having trouble keeping the connection with the dolphin bar. Idk I could be wrong.

Thanks so much btw

I'm going to assume it's a RVL-CNT-01-TR Wiimote Plus, since that is the most likely. As was covered in the review on this site, the Dolphinbar requires a firmware update to support The downloads are on Mayflash's site in a somewhat awkward location. So run the update and it should work.

I succesfully did the firmware update but still had no luck. it keeps saying wiimote 1 disconnected when i start a game even though its still connected to the mayflash Bar. I think im going to try contacting mayflash and see if they know whats going on? Maybe I should uninstall and re-download dolphin?

The weird thing is I got it to work for a few hours the other day, but it went back to having the issue

Thanks again

If it says Wiimote 1 is disconnected, press Alt-F5.

Ok so I think I finally found a work around.

It still disconnects my Wiimote when I start up a game, but if I change the mode button on Mayflash bar to 3 and sync wiimote to mode 3, and then change mode to 4 while syncing wiimote to mdoe 4 (all of this while game is playing) then the wiimote succesfully vibrates and connects. Not sure why I have to sync it in the game and cant do it before I start a game, but just wanted to let you know. Maybe others may experience this?

I just got my DolphinBar, and even with the fresh firmware upgrade it indeed disconnects after some minutes of inactivity (there are other situations, but this one is the simplest to reproduce). Say, if I open a pause menu ("Home" button), and leave the system to rest for a couple of minutes, a game thinks that wiimote is disconnected.

Alt+F5 helps, but I hope it should be recognized as a known issue in the system now.

The game does it, and Dolphin just does what it is told. There isn't a way to stop that behavior, however it may be possible for Dolphin to detect a button press on the wiimote and reconnect automatically. There's an issue report about it.

What about some random disconnects during the game? Inactivity is just a very common situation, but there are other cases when the game says "wiimote disconnected". In some games it doesn't happen often, but in some other games it just makes it impossible to play.
