Mayflash Adapter stopped working on Mac

I have a Mayflash GC Adapater (i know im supposed to have the official one but i got this before that one came out) and im playing on a 13-inch macbook pro, which has been working (mostly) fine up until now. recently ive been having glitches where it would randomly stop working completely and hold down shield buttons and then wouldnt connect to the gamepad unless i restarted dolphin, and now it just wont display that the gamepad exists at all. i tried clearing my dolphin folder in application support and re-installing dolphin but nothing works

Is it a 2-port adapter or 4-port adapter? If it's a 4-port adapter, are you using the Wii U mode?

Are you able to test it on another computer? Does it work in anything else?
