That sucks. Can one bottleneck a 780 Ti? A Titan Z??

No. Do you have a savestate or game save for me to try? I have only gotten to the 1st main boss (after you crossed the bridge). However, LLE interpreter (slow) dragged my fps down to the 2x fps range in this game and probably other games too. But LLE recompiler performed just as good as HLE.

Yes. Most programs cannot possibly benefit from being run on a gpu. Emulators are one of them.

I never dumped this game because I saw no reason to play it in Dolphin after beating it on the Wii (it's not that good of a game...) so I don't have a save. You should check the "Post your saves here thread" in this forum, or online elsewhere. The later you go into the game, the more of Lazuli City is rendered or something like that, so it's more demanding the further you progress in the game (similar to ZTP Hyrule Field, kinda).

I'd like to understand GPU emulation as to why it's so demanding. Any good threads or articles?

Backward engineering is always demanding, hence it's called an emulator for a reason. No need to get into the specifics if you're not a coder/developer.

You never know Smile. Where would I begin?

The Dolphin site has some blog entries/articles relating to GPU emulation. Definitely take a look at those. Neobrain blogged about GPU emulation as well (see his signature for a link). Other than that, ask questions to get answers (here or on Dolphin's IRC channels).

max out the internal res - aa and anisotropic, enable per-pixel lighting i have noticed in some games it makes it better. texture cache move to safe, backend set to directx3d. thats what i think the max you can go.
