Hi guys,
Joined the forum this afternoon in the hope of fixing an issue I've been encountering with Netplay on MarioKart Wii.
I am running Dolphin 3.0 on Win8.1 x86 with 8GB ram, Nvidia GeForce 840M, and Intel i5-4210U 1.7GHz.
Have set up port forwarding etc. and am connecting successfully. Controllers work at both ends and lag is minimal.
However, the games are 'out of sync' and it is like we are running completely different instances of the game with just the controller inputs registering across our computers. When playing random tracks we are each assigned different courses. The controllers still register the other player's movements correctly, but of course they are for a different track so the other player appears to be falling off, steering into a wall etc. while in their own game they are as normal and the other player appears to be acting strangely. Thus in each game we both come first and the other comes last. Even if we choose the same track manually the discrepancy still exists. Item randomisation, CPU kart behaviour etc. are all different as well, it is literally like we are running separate instances of the game.
Any advice on how to rectify this and get us both 'on the same page' would be much appreciated! Cheers
