This actually IS a bug with the emulator. The movement felt very strange, so i looked at the original game on my Gamecube.
Original: if you push the stick left or right, Mario is running a very large circle except if you are running around a small object like a tree, then the circle is very small, exactly like in the emulator.
Emulator: small circle every time, it doesn't matter if i run around an object or not. This is very annoying!
Tried it with a XBOX 360 Wireless gamepad, a XBOX One Wireless Gamepad and finally an original Gamecube gamepad. All the same. It has nothing to do with the deadzone or any other setting you can set. The deadzone on the original gamecube is almost 0, as far as i tried it with multiple games. It definitely has something to do with the camera. The problem decreases if you max zoom out, but is still present.
Pls fix this!
