As the thread title states, I really REALLY want to be able to play Super Mario Sunshine, however it is the only game I have that just refuses to work properly and reach full speed. I know it is a bit more demanding game, but every other one works just fine, at 1080p, with hd textures. Mario Sunshine on the other hand will not reach fullspeed even at 1x IR with no HD textures, no texture filtering, no anything. I have tried everything I can think of, and used both the latest official build as well as the latest Ishiiruka build and still no luck. I am running an Alienware Alpha i7 with 8 GB of RAM if that helps. (And yes I know the Alienware isn't very powerful but it works for everything else...)

If anyone could help me get this working I'd greatly appreciate it.

What is your exact processor? What is your GPU? Also, we don't support the Ishiiruka build, only stable 5.0 & recent dev builds. Have you tried different graphic backends?
Windows 11 Home x64
Intel Core i7-10700
Nvidia Rtx 2060 6GB
32.0 GB DDR4 RAM

Intel i7-4785T 2.20GHZ. The GPU is just an integrated Nvidia (sorry I don't know much more, I didn't build this obviously as I'm kind of "new" to p.c. gaming.) And I have tried all backends. Vulkan seems to be the fastest but it still drops down to about 20 fps and thats just on the Airstrip at the beginning. It works great if I break all of the goop effects but that kind of ruins the game.

Yeah, the game is very demanding, and your rig is pretty weak for the game. Esp at only 2.2 GHz. You can try running everything with default settings & only using native resolution

Yeah I've already tried that. I'm honestly surprised as most other games I have tried, (Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, Brawl and Melee, etc) all can be basically 1080p with all the goodies. But that really is a shame, though it was honestly what I expected to hear.

Wow, I'm surprised the Galaxy games are running so smoothly for you. Those are very demanding as well. Arguably more demanding than Mario Sunshine. Luigis Mansion is probably the least demanding game there is...at least close to it...but it's my all time fave gamecube game

Yeah that's why it is odd. I can run both Galaxy games at 1080p with custom textures, and (if using the Ishiiruka build) phong lighting and shaders. It's only sunshine it struggles with. And I will agree, Luigi's Mansion is an awesome game haha.

Sunshine is more demanding than Galaxy 1/2 due to Sunshine requiring EFB Copies to RAM and EFB Access to CPU, while Galaxy 1/2 only need EFB Access to CPU.

This is absolutely the expected result, unfortunately.

Make sure in the Windows Power Options you're running the High Performance plan.
