Mario Sunshine Controller 'click'

So I'm playing Sunshine, and one of the mechanics is running and shooting water at the same time. I'm using an Xbox Elite controller, and after a few times of opening and closing the game to get the controller buttons all figured, it's fine, apart from this running and shooting mechanic. The idea is that if you use the gamecube controller and press down halfway, you run and shoot, but if you hold it all the way, you become stationary. However, my Xbox controller isn't having any of this: it's either stationary or nothing. Is there any way to replicate this 'click' (that's what the game describes it as) with an Xbox controller?

You have to configure the analog-L/R in your controller settings.

Chess- were you able to get this working properly? I'm having the same issue and am aware I need to configure the analog LR but am not sure how to configure it to replicate the click and the regular press with the same trigger button.

Thanks

You should just need to map the trigger button to both L-Analog and L-Digital.

Back topic, I have a config if you want. I will test it again but I think it's what you might need.
