Basically, when I'm on the menus, some parts are fine, but when I get to like, selecting a cup to play on Mario Kart wii, the FPS drops to like 20-30 fps, but then runs fine again in game? What's up with that?

Ahh ok. If anyone else gets this then let us know, and of any possible fixes.

There used to be a "Watchdog" Setting a really long time ago, adjusting that seemed to fix that.
However it got removed in the early 5000 Rev's
...I wouldn't say that the watchdog was the key to "directly fixing" the slowdown, since (IIRC) it is a hack.
Plus, the older revisions had an "Optimize Quantizers" option as well, which (IIRC) had an effect on that slowdown (at the cost of possibly causing lack of the character/kart display in the menu). Quantizers seem to be part of the real hardware as well. Not sure, but wouldn't it mean that the "slowdown" in Dolphin (in PRESENT time) is the consequence/cost of having to emulate quantizers properly (LLE way, instead of buggy/HLE way)? Correct me if I am wrong.
