Hi Everybody,

In rev 4.0-5295 I have a problem accessing properties of Mario Kart Wii. I'd like to change the game ini but when I try to open the properties I get this message - unhandled exception.

Anyone had already encounter the same?

Thanks and regards,

Does this happen even in the latest dev build?

Hi,

Yes, I've tried the last one ans some revisions.
But it doesn't happen with 3.5
In Mario kart, there must be now a setting that slowdown the game until you enter and exit the graphic settings without touching anything, game comes back to a normal speed....
I thinf it's something with XFB and I'd wish to desactivate it in the game ini but I cannot enter it Tongue

It's emulate format changes and you will get a purple rectangle at some stages on the top left when disabled. My advice is to not disable stuff in the ini having the feeling that nothing will break. And seeing your pc specs i believe it is a sin to do that, it should handle the game just fine.

Hi Link_to_the_past

I indeed have noticed those rectangles in some stages in 3.5 rev
Is there a way to get full speed without enterring the graphic settings? If I enter the graphic settings game will speed up, without that, I remain with a dropdown in fps...

Thanks and regards,

Have you set your gpu to maximum performance in the driver settings? It might fall into low power mode. Also post your settings if that doesn't work. I have a worse rig than you and except the shader caching issue at first run it runs fine using the latest dev version.

Has anyone tested the very first track with EFB to RAM using the Direct3D backend?
Do you get a freeze or instant crash even on the first lap?

This is a very old (happens even in v3.5-xxxx builds), but serious bug / issue.
The OpenGL backend is not affected.

Hi,

Tried both EBF to texture or to Ram. Same result. I have to enter the graphic settins and game turns nack to normal speed... Don't have this problem with rev 3.5...

Hi,

I've find out that the game is blocked to 30fps from the moment you have to choose the type of game you wanna play. This is the cause of the slowdown. Now, how to deblock it...?
