Mario Kart Drifitng Issue on Keyboard

On Mario Kart Double Dash, I can drift just fine both left and right but on Mario Kart Wii I can only drift to the right and when I drift to the right, the kart will go completely right causing me to not drift. This is on my laptop's keyboard, since I lost my controllers.
