Seems like your GPU driver lacks the support for GL_EXT_blend_func_extended. Bad luck, afaik, no mobile vendor supports it through. But it is a hardware requirement for d3d10. So either those vendors lie about d3d10 support, or are just lazy at OpenGL ES.

Laziness. At any rate this issue could be resolved or at least improved if/when JonnyH is able to merge his PR for Hos framebuffer fetch extension workaround.

A fix exists, it just needs to be finished. If you have non-Qualcomm hardware the fix more or less works perfectly, if you have Qualcomm hardware then you won't see much improvement.

Any word on when the fix will be finished and will the fix on Qualcomm at least be tolerable?

No idea when the fix will be finished, the maintainer is occupied with other dolphin related work first. As for Qualcomm devices, the current setup I'm aware of may be that the fix is disabled on Qualcomm devices. IF it is not, you will see the issues fixed however large visual artifacting appears (due to an issue in the Qualcomm drivers). In theory there's no reason the fix shouldn't apply to any device, but mobile vendors manage to make everything a hassle.

I have not been able to find a working path for qcomm devices at all. Unless there's a driver update, or I get a magic flash of inspiration, I'm running on the assumption it'll be disabled on adreno.

Funny thing is on my Note 8 (Qualcomm 835), release 5.0-5410 was working fine for like 10 days now. Today decided to play some Mario Kart and gameplay is now all dark or in a dark purple tint. Now it's performing just like my Motorola Z Force. Gameplay shows dark, but menus and other parts of the game show fine.

When I was checking for a fix on my Moto Z Force, I ended up testing and looking through past releases and found the exact update where the dark tint issue started for my Moto Z Force. Last working update was 5.0-1650 where the game plays without any issues. Looking at the next release 5.0-1653, it states that "OGL/Vulkan: Drop destination alpha pass." Running this version causes the dim/dark game play in Mario Kart.

My question now is if release 5.0-5410 that was working fine since I got my Note 8, why is it now having the dark tint issues?
