I have the same CPU as you and get like 70 FPS average (not overclocked)
I have to say that it's not right what you said, if you have 2 monitors and turn 1 off it doesn't speed up ur games
.I've tried this with Super Smash Brothers Melee/Brawl, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle/DX and Mario Kart DD.
I didn't get any speed ups when i turned 1 off, I even plugged it out of the pc
