Mario Golf Toadstool Tour Link-up

Hi, I was wondering how I could link up Mario Golf Advanced Tour with Mario Golf Toadstool Tour. I have tried the tutorial by skid, but everytime I load VBA-M, it never starts at the save file for some reason. It always starts at the beginning of the game I don't know whether I have the correct bios file, and I can't do jack with the Dolphin Emulator when I load MGTT since skid's guide tells me to put 4 controller slots set to GBA. I know that I am being very vague with this post, but I can be more specific when/if I get help.

I don't know what's wrong with VBA-M, but for Dolphin, please make sure you're using a recent development version instead of the stable release 4.0.

so like not necessarily the latest version? where can i find the development version?

oh i've already downloaded that...so i guess it might just be something wrong with the vba. skid's guide has like this weird bios file number, which i can't seem to officially find, since i just downloaded the bios file from emuparadise..could it have something to do with that?
