Requires a bit of mental parsing,  but in this evaluation the note 4 exynos running r5 has 55% less driver overhead compared to the Galaxy alpha running r4.  Is this accurate?  Has anyone here tested the r5 drivers?

I confirmed with a dev a couple of months ago that r5p0 lowers driver overhead by a fairly decent margin.
Think he said it lowers overhead on glBufferData/glBufferSubData/glBindBufferRange.
I doubt it improves much for us though.

I suppose that makes sense.  the article made it sound like the core drivers themselves have seen serious optimization, with no mention of specific gl extensions.
