This doesn't completely eliminate the need for issue reports, though, right? Maybe that should be made clear (might be obvious but maybe not for some).

It doesn't eliminate the need for regular ol' issue reports at all right now. The Dolphin 5.0 version is just a skeleton.
In the end though, the best way to get our attention is always going to be complaining at us. Even if sometimes we just get mad and yell
"One of the chief inefficiencies in Dolphin development is that the team really doesn't get much feedback on how Dolphin is performing in the real world"
More like nobody from the team bothers to replay to any user asking for help. The only guaranteed replay is a ban request if someone admits they downloaded an iso and that is from some wannabe moderator. Tbh I'm not even sure if an actual dolphin developer ever posts on this forum.
lol.
Honestly, there is a bit of a point there. Most of the posts on the forums are kind of non-related for devs, so many of them stay away. Using data collection via the emulator itself, we can get consistently good and true data instead of the normal garbage on the forums. Most users don't know what they are doing, but the emulator itself does. 06-19-2016, 09:41 PM

Anyways, while it may be true that developer replies are kinda rare in the forums, it doesn't mean the forum is ignored by the devs. If something important is reported, it will find its way to the developers. 06-19-2016, 09:58 PM
lol, sure, if you say you downloaded an iso (which is absolutely irrelevant to whatever issue you have, except for a bad dump maybe, but you can produce one of those yourself as well), the ban hammer comes down on you.
BTW, JosJuice is (as far as I know) a dev and he's very active on the forums.

Right now I wish the diagnostics could already find out more because I'm having a strange issue that almost sounds like a milestone blocker. But I'mma rather open a thread in support for that one.
