Question
Hi I am a newcomer on these forums and I want to make my copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl wii disc to iso so I can play it on Dolphin, My copy is PAL

SSBB is a dual layer disc and I want to make its file to iso somehow not copying its files to another disc (Burn)

In otherwords I want to make it an iso to play it on Dolphin, How can I do that?

It's 8GB in size btw.

You need an LG drive for you computer which can read wii discs and dump them (If you don't specifically ordered an LG drive you don't have one)

Or you can mod your wii, requires SD card only. Go to wiibrew.org and download the bannerbomb exploit and homebrew channel which you install on your wii. Then you can dump the game to an SD card (DVD dumper application), an USB device (USB loader), or wireless to your PC (Wiihttpd).

You can't read wii discs with normal drives because they are read backwards of normal discs. No need to sorry us it's your problemTongue

Softmodding the wii is not risky at all, as long as you stay with the safe stuff (Applications from the homebrew browser)

So I see, I can't just use imgburn or any burning product and make an iso of the disc or its file and I must modify my wii if I want to play my game on PC right?

Anyway using a LG drive to dump a Wii disc takes 50 hours or so... iirc.

The best way to dump your discs is to do it from your Wii, indeed.
Here's my method, it is safe and didn't brick my Wii. If it does brick yours then you're really, really unlucky.
You use the Twilight hack (you need Zelda Twilight Princess Wii) to install the Homebrew channel. This method
won't work if your firmware is version 4.0 or higher (mine is 3.3e, phew!).
Then you need to install a custom IOS (I used tona's one), and you can use the Wii Disc dumper.
The dumper can dump the disc to a SD card or an USB flash drive.

You don't need ZTP if you use the bannerbomb exploit. It's the new and even better hack that was made after Nintendo finally killed the TP hack in v4.0.
