I have an issue, just as the topic of this thread states.

I access my computer with my macbook air using Snow Leopard's Screen Sharing occasionally when I am away from it, and I use apple's screen sharing feature. Today, I thought - how awesome would it be if I could VNC in to my games and play them?

Well, I can load save states, but all other keyboard inputs to control the characters in the game don't work. Any ideas?

I don't think this is possible because VNC is not a DInput device. Maybe switch the GamePad/Wiimote input to SDL, but I highly doubt that would work.

Unless you have a GBit internet connection, I really doubt it'll be any fun to play. You'll have a huge delay in the controls (because of both network latency and network bandwidth) and it's very unlikely that you can transfer 30 fps in real-time.

Clearly you've never used remote access software before. It's extremely easy to transfer 30fps in real time over a network, haven't you ever watched a 30 fps video on the internet before? Ever heard of something called compression?

And also, network bandwidth does not affect delay, only latency.

You are correct sir. Playback is great! I can load save states, but no controls... Any more ideas?? I've been fruitlessly searching online so far.

Also - if it helps - I am using Mac's screen sharing program on Snow Leopard.

Yeah, I looked for this setting on my mac, nowhere to be found. I've run searches here and on google, no dice either. Where is this setting?

It is inside Dolphin. From the menu, Options -> Gamecube pad settings. On the top left corner, there is a drop-down. Select the controller with "SDL" inside it's name. Do the same for the Wiimote, Emulated Wiimote settings.

SDL was not built into the OS X builds last I looked.
It would probably not work anyway.

Yeah, looking through everything, I think this is the case. Is this (VNC keyboard control) a feature that could be added on in some way?
