I have SM sunshine and SM sunburn, but Dolphin thinks they are both sunshine. I can't rename the sunburn rom to sunburn no matter what I do. I thought just clicking twice slowly on the name would let you rename but no. Anyways, save data is shared between the two. How do I force Dolphin to make them separate? Not to share save data and be able to change the name. Thanks.

Making them not share save data would require a game hack. Perhaps just changing any of the first six bytes of the ISO suffices, or perhaps you need to do something more, I'm not sure. Doing this should also stop making Dolphin automatically apply the name "Super Mario Sunshine" to the game.

It is also possible to make Dolphin force a certain name for a specific file even if it shares a game ID with another game that you don't want to change the name of. Create an XML file in the format described here, then place it in the same folder as the game. The file should be named meta.xml if the game is the only game in the folder, and otherwise the same name as the game file other than the file name extension.

The Wind Waker randomizer changes the game id when building the iso (GZLE99 vs GZLE01 for NTSC versions). Should be possible with this romhack
