Actually it's the D3D backend that has the lowest attention at all. OGL has by far more attention. The OSX drivers are just bad. Almost as terrible as the mobile ones, but the mobile vendors are catching up (but iOS of course).

Hint: Bad GPU drivers can't be compensated with a good GPU. You'll need a even better CPU for this. Again, not more cores, by far faster ones.

Pretty sure 4.0ghz can handle it if my 2.6 ghz one could. Anyway, I will be maintaining Dolphin 3.5 on mac os x.
