MacOs Adapter Not Detected After Being Unplugged and Plugged Back In

So I recently downloaded Dolphin 5.0 and I followed the directions on this page: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/how-use-official-gc-controller-adapter-wii-u/
Unfortunately, after I moved the adapter to play on my WiiU, when I plugged it back in to the computer, dolphin said the adapter was not detected. Please help I have no idea what happened. Im running MacOs High Sierra 10.13.2

Are you having the same problem if you use the latest dev build of Dolphin?
