Only happen if the thin notebook itself not overheating
IMO , the MBP design is no good for gaming , especially Dolphin .
Still , we have to wait the benchmark result from @DefenderX

It's not a gaming system alright, but granted this are not Mac or Pc games and it0s still a laptop, I'm waiting acceptable results. But you are right, let's wait and see.

^ This. I think, I'll get it next week or the other next week Wink If I have time, I'll post some Dolphin benchmarks with the most demanding games (Super Mario Galaxy 1+2) and some other games. (Metroid Prime Trilogy, Mario Kart Wii, Wario Land Shake It etc.)

I just ordered the 2.6GHzz version of this, delivery in 3 weeks... Couldn't help myself lol

It will be a bonus if it plays nice with Dolphin through bootcamp, but I'm sure Ill be pleased with it regardless.

Try running it on windows/linux and see if there is any significant performance boost vs Mac OS

Don't use Parallels, use Bootcamp and it will run fine. I have the 2011 2.2 Ghz quad core i7 and it runs pretty nicely on the OS X side but on W7 it runs noticeably better.

If you use parallels you'd be emulating on an emulated OS, not smart or efficient. Just make sure you redo the thermal paste as well. Seeing how almost all laptops are assembled at Foxconn, everyone should redo their thermal paste.
