Mac version unusable due to several errors

Hi there,

I saw this thread and wanted to see how my games look on my 27" iMac. I suspected the application wouldn't work properly because of it fresh mac releases, but it appears to do not much at all. I grabbed a copy of Super Mario Galaxy, because dumping my disk would take longer, and I don't have my wii set up for it. (Yes I live in a country where it actually legal to download this copy from the web).

However, wxWidgets errors in the config dialog aside, I get the following messages in the system logs (via Console.app) whenever the application has crashed. Perhaps someone can point me (or the devs) in a direction that helps me here;

I don't know much about emulation, but is it perhaps possible that it's my new quad-core cpu that is the problem here ? No difference when switching the emulator engine from JIT recompiler to JitIL, or when disabling dual core, idle skipping or lock threads to cores functionalities.

Specifications;
Mac OS X (version 10.6.2)
4gb ram, 2.66GHz Intel Core i5 (Quad core)
ATI Radeon HD 4850 with 512mb ram

Thats nice, unfortunately for you it doesn't matter if it's legal to download in your country, we don't support it in the forums. Prepare to be banned.

Whats even funnier is that he is wrong! I am assuming that he is Dutch because of his user name. We have a law over here that is called the "Thuiskopie regeling", it basicly means that you can legaly download music and movies from the internet as long as you don't upload or sell them. However, computer software and games are an exception to this law Rolleyes

So maybe instead of having a fit over where he gets his dumps you could limit responses to useful information. The problem he is having, as will anyone using a 27" iMac, has nothing to do with the ISO. It might also affect MBP users with i5 or i7 processors, but I'm really not sure.

Anyway, for anyone who comes across this thread with a similar issue, this is what fixed the problem for me:

Go to the "Plugins" section of the "Preferences window". With "Dolphin OpenGL" selected for Graphics, click the "Config..." button. This will open another window. In advanced display settings, turn on "Use XFB" or "Use Real XFB" or both. (Figure out which one gets you the best performance.)

Hope that helps.
