I have never come across a logical reason to use another OS. They are poorly supported. Even the second most popular OS. Perhaps for professional development and apps, but that is a small minority. The security issues of Windows are a non factor, unless you are computer illiterate, which you don't appear to be.
Windows has a ~90% market share for a reason.
Feel free to educate me, I love to learn. I cannot see a near future where Windows and Direct X aren't dominant.
Once again, perhaps you should research the matter. As a courtesy, I will offer you assistance:

Although it seems as if Windows has a 49 percent market share which is nowhere near your 90 percent approximation, if we disect further we can see that a lot of the systems are older legacy systems possibly being used by people like my grandparents and do not represent recent sales. Therefore it would only be logical to conclude that the market share of Windows is actually much less, and declining.
It would also be importance to research the diminishing in stock value on an extend the time frame -- also somewhat diminishing.
And in response to your very last statement it is not my job to educate you, perhaps if you would have done a simple Google search you could have educated yourself and spared yourself the shame.
I bet you get your tech advise from the GeekSquad huh?
