Hello friends,

Background:

After upgrading to OS X Mavericks and further upgrading to the 4.0.1711 version of the dev build of Dolphin, I began experiencing some slow-downs. When I switch to the dashboard and back the emulator seems to speed up.

I believe there is some issue in Dolphin being delivered the full power of the Nvidia GPU as a power savings feature of the OS. I have checked the guides and the FAQ where there are instructions on how to get around performance issues on Linux and Windows based platforms, but no solution is available for OS X.

My questions regarding this are:

* Does anybody know of a workaround for this?

* Is it a matter of increasing entropy? ... If so whats the best method to do so?

* Are there any official Apple development tools providing programmers to call on the full power of the GPU?

I must say that I am highly impressed with this community and the level of knowledge exhibited here. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Don´t expect a lot from Ivy Bridge with Zelda TP and SMG 1/2. You shouldn´t have problems with SSBM/SSBB since they´re lightweight. Mario Kart is sort of intensive.

Are you kidding, I can run 16 Linux VMs at once with no issues with this thing. This processor is a beast.

The slowdown occurred after OSX 10.9.X and Dolphin 4.0+
