yes it works with gcc-4.0 and g++-4.0 but not with gcc-4.2, which dolphin-svn needs for the new Atomic-libraries.

I use gcc-4.2 for all : r-gcgp-111-t05:dolphin-emu tmator$ ls -al /usr/bin/g++ lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 16 1 aoû 06:22 /usr/bin/g++ -> /usr/bin/g++-4.2 08-03-2009, 10:21 PM
ah ok...and how do you switch so that Mac OS X uses gcc-4.2 ? Under 10.4 there were a "gcc_select" binary...

I just replace the link /usr/bin/gcc and /usr/bin/g++
sudo ln -sf /usr/bin/g++-4.2 /usr/bin/g++ sudo ln -sf /usr/bin/gcc-4.2 /usr/bin/gcc 08-03-2009, 11:12 PM
tried it as you wrote by linking gcc to gcc-4.2 but same error for OpenAL 1.0 or 1.1 (with dolphin svn 3932).
Are you sure that you have not modified "Source/Core/AudioCommon/Src/OpenALStream.h" to use dolphin's openal lib ? If you start from scratch by deleting the whole "dolphin-emu-read-only" directory , I get this error message: In file included from Source/Core/AudioCommon/Src/OpenALStream.h:32, from Source/Core/AudioCommon/Src/AudioCommon.cpp:23: /System/Library/Frameworks/openal.framework/Headers/alc.h:182: error: '<anonymous>' has incomplete type /System/Library/Frameworks/openal.framework/Headers/alc.h:182: error: invalid use of 'ALCvoid' scons: *** [Build/Darwin-i386-release/Source/Core/AudioCommon/Src/AudioCommon.o] Error 1 (08-03-2009, 10:32 PM)tmator Wrote: I just replace the link /usr/bin/gcc and /usr/bin/g++
Just to note, but I found that I get much better results graphically on my Mac Pro, with a ATI Radeon HD 2600XT versus my Macbook Pro with it's NVidia GeForce 8600M GT.
In addition, I'm actually able to use the keyboard on the Mac Pro but I hadn't been on the Macbook. Turns out, deleting my Dolphin directory in Library/Application Support and allowing Dolphin to recreate it allows the keyboard to work again. I'm guessing there are some serious driver differences between the two. Anyone have any better ideas on the subject? Anyone getting good results on an NVidia card? I'll try and post a screen shot of the two, if anyone can tell me how to do it in the DolphinNoGui client... 08-04-2009, 05:18 PM
for a screenshot cmd+shift+4 and select the zone with the mouse
And yes, they are graphical problems with nvidia on osx, if we use an ati or software renderer it's better.... wait for a new driver 08-05-2009, 04:36 AM
I did try that screenshot command, and it doesn't work with OpenGL windows. I think it only works with Cocoa- or Carbon-rendered windows.
Shame on the drivers, given that all Mac systems are NVidia now... 08-05-2009, 06:11 PM
When you say: "wait for a new driver", do you mean a new Dolphin driver for nvidia graphics-card ? Or the one from Mac OS X ?
I get a yellow screen with a nvidia GeForce 7300GT, but ATI Radeon 2600 works pretty well. I'm really curious how Dolphin will run on Snow Leopard....hopefully faster.... (08-04-2009, 05:18 PM)tmator Wrote: for a screenshot cmd+shift+4 and select the zone with the mouse |
