So I made the update to Big Sur Beta a few days ago, and before that, my Dolphin emulator and the associated GameCube controllers were working just fine.

Now, Dolphin seems to not detect the Wii U Gamecube adapter I used before.

Am I the only one having an issue here?

Does it come from Dolphin or maybe the Smash Enabler which is not ready yet for Mac OS Big Sur?

Any help will be welcomed! ?

Have you had any luck with restoring this?

I have Big Sur 11.0.1 running on an M1 Mac mini using Dolphin 5.0-13207.

Bluetooth Keyboard access works fine. The Nintendo Switch Gamecube Lic Pro Controller (Wireless) or (Wired) are displayed in the select menu, however no buttons will activate the corresponding button in Dolphin.

Found a work around, even though Dolphin displays the controllers in the config on Big Sur 11.0.1 and Dolphin 5.0-13240 I have found my own solution after digging up MANY other controller issues with passing off info to a troublesome app.

  1. Configure Dolphin to use the Keyboard setup built into to the Mac
  2. Download a key configure app called "Enjoyable" available here: https://yukkurigames.com/enjoyable/
  3. Map each key from Dolphin's Keyboard config to the Enjoyable key mapping.
  4. Attempt to use the controller in Dolphin's app will prompt a security request from Enjoyable
  5. Launch Security & Privacy system preference and enable Enjoyable in Accessibility, that is the only Security setting needed..
  6. Go back to Dolphin and launch a game.
This gave me a work around controller support. Good luck!

TLDR; Steam would recognize the PowerA wireless, and wired GameCube remotes, all steam games would work that supported a controller. The macOS Big Sur was recognizing the remote. It was Dolphin that was unable to capture the buttons until I mapped it
using Enjoyable.app to keyboard commands did I get it to work.

Thank you! This worked for me and I was able to use a controller on my M1 Mac Mini with Big Sur. Despite my Ps5 controller being recognized, dolphin wouldn't detect the input for some reason. 360controller also doesn't support big sur at the moment.

I've been dealing with this same issue. I have LoZ:TP and it runs, but it won't recognize any controller or keyboard inputs.
