Question
Hello.
I'm having problems in Luigi's mansion in the first floor hallway where you have to get some sort of fireball out of the candle, but it simply won't work. I think it has something to do with the threshold on the  right trigger. I've tried this on a USB gamecube controller, original gamecube controller using a USB converter, keyboard+mouse and an Xbox 360 controller. All of which yield the same result. I've tried changing the threshold and dead zone to various settings and no progress.
If anyone else is having similar issues and may know a fix, please help me out.
If it means anything, I've also tried this on multiple systems and operating systems. Same scenarios as listed above with the different controllers.
Thanks in advanced!
-Thomas

I haven't played the game in awhile, but I don't think you can get a fireball from there. From what I remember there will be ball of fire floating around if it's a source you can get fire from. Also if the problem is as you are discribing then you need to configure R/L Analog as well for your controller.

That's not how it works in the original game. You have to go up to one of the two candles that don't go out and suck a fireball out of one of them. As for configuring my inputs, I've already done that and tried many configurations. None of which work

That weird do you have the item to be able to use fire. You won't see then until then. I don't remember off hand what is call or how to get it.

There are no additional items you need in order to complete this level. That's not how the gameplay works

If you don´t have the Fire Medal, you can´t make fireballs appear out of candles or any fire you come across.
