Introduction
Hello, my name's Fox and I'm a big fan of Luigi's Mansion. Earlier this year I wanted to use an HD texture pack with Luigi's Mansion, but I didn't find any that really kept the style of the original game intact. While I wouldn't say this is the definitive pack in its current state, I can say that I confidently believe it keeps the game's original style intact while improving upon the little things that didn't work. All textures have been upscaled and many have been touched up or replaced entirely by hand or by using modern equivalents. Some textures are still in rather desperate need of a facelift, but most textures you'll outright notice or see closely have been tweaked. Happy Halloween!

What's Changed?
Almost every texture in the game has been manually dumped and then upscaled 5x using Wafiu2xCaffe. On top of upscaling, anything that simply doesn't work is being edited or redrawn completely! Some examples include Luigi's textures, the icons used for Mario's lost items, several wallpapers and carpets, etc. Keep an eye out for updates!

[Image: b7rx269.png]Luigi now knows how to read! Luigi's icon, the GBH and more have been updated! (This Luigi icon is outdated, the newest release changes the direction he is facing to match the original.)
[Image: mFHY2qI.png]The entire HUD has been redone! Boo is now taken from the official art instead of an N64-esque render along with an entirely redrawn heart and elemental meter!
Many wallpapers and carpets have been entirely redone, looking authentic to the original game's aesthetic!

I'm definitely going to try this pack out for the first time. Is this still actively being developed and what not? I see the pack was updated, but haven't been keeping track.

I've actually been working on more textures in last couple of days! Currently the pack covers most textures found in the game with the majority simply being upscaled. A large chunk are however completely redrawn by hand which includes things like Luigi's eyebrows, the missing Mario's Items icons, lots of the text, etc. I'm currently going through to make sure all base textures are dumped and upscaled and then reworking anything that simply doesn't work well.
Thanks for the interest!

UPDATE!
(10/9/20)

Since I can't edit my first post, I'll have to place the updated pack link here haha. The new pack includes various small texture fixes as well as some bigger additions like new redone text, a new heart icon on the HUD, and a redrawn ghost cursor animation in the pause menu! Happy ghost hunting!

Your account is too new, that's why you have some restrictions. They will be lifted once you reach a certain number of posts.

For now I manually updated the first post to point to the new link...

Possibly best pack overall, HenrikoMagnifico's has bunch of issues with transparencies among other things but combined would produce best pack probably.
I don't seem to be able reduce banding, most visible on doctor's head, I have 24bit and dithering enabled.

I'm glad you like the pack! I'll continue working on this in my spare time, E Gadd's textures will more than likely be redone at some point since you see a lot of his beautiful face throughout the game haha
