Dolphin Version: 4.0-7840 (Required by smashladder)
CPU: Intel i5 3570k @ 4GHz
GPU: AMD 7970 with 15.201.1151 Linux drivers
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz

tl;dr -- FPS in netplay > solo, FPS in Windows > Linux, Cant connect using 7840 but 7842 is okay.

I will preface this by saying I switched to Debian Linux from Windows 7 about 2 weeks ago, so I am still relatively new to Linux.

The first issue I have is when loading, without netplay, Super Smash Bros. Melee and picking Fountain of Dreams, I get 35-45 FPS. If that stage is chosen through netplay, I hover just around 60 and occasionally dipping under 60, which leads to a small choppy feeling when playing. I've avoided picking that stage on smashladder because I don't want to annoy other players on smashladder. On Windows 7, I was able to play that stage perfectly fine, but after the OS switch it has become a stage that I can't play too often anymore, especially not in single player.

The second issue I have is connecting to others through netplay traversal with Dolphin 4.0-7840. I have another friend I play SSBM with occasionally and we use Dolphin 4.0-7842 for no particular reason, that was just the version they had and I downloaded it so we wouldn't desync. I can connect to said friend perfectly fine with 4.0-7842 and they can connect to me perfectly fine as well. The issue is when I don't play with my friend and go to play others from smashladder where Dolphin 4.0-7840 is required. I have not been successful in connecting to anybody from smashladder, but everyone from smashladder has been able to connect to me. I have opened ports 2626 and 6262 on my first router for the traversal server just in case it was needed, and I enabled the DMZ on my second router with the local IP of my computer, so I think that is set up correctly unless I am mistaken. If I want to use smashladder currently, I have to host every single game because I can't connect to anyone.

edit: Some maybe important stuff.
- I already tried the "Reset Traversal Settings" button with no success.
- Dolphin 4.0-7840 was installed with GDebi Package Installer.
- Dolphin 4.0-7842 was simply extracted to my desktop.
