You can just replace Unity with whatever desktop environment you want. And you're right, getting hardware to work with Linux nowadays is pretty straightforward, and it usually works out of the box especially with a distro like Ubuntu, except for some vendors (some Broadcom products, I think?)

I'd look into getting a GTX 950 instead. It's a better card for around the same price.

Ok. I will find a good desktop environment or just temporarally use windows no product key. I did some research on it and it is mostly legal as long as you are not using it to get a free copy of windows. I plan on using it sort of like a free trial because I want to use minecraft shaders and the one I like only runs on windows without modifying it and I forgot the line of code I need to add. 05-26-2016, 08:56 AM

I am already going to have trouble saving up for this build. it is only $20 more but I am going to have wait for my birthday and use all my birthday cash to save up towards this build. If I end up with extra I might get the 950 05-26-2016, 10:14 AM
Quote:For Kepler cards (Like that 750ti)GTX 750 / GTX 750 Ti are maxwell cards (newer) . The rest GTX 760/770/780 are Kepler cards(older) I have both GTX 750 and GTX 750 Ti . I honestly don't see any difference in emulation , both cards run pretty well at 3xIR (1920x1584) or even 4xIR (2560x2112) Though not as fast as GTX 950 , both cards run PC games well at high settings (Skyrim 50-65FPS at ultra settings for example) Laptop: Mini PC ::
It's the summer, so if you aren't doing any camps or extra, try and see if you can find a job that you can do. Maybe mowing lawns or cleaning pools (if you know what you're doing). If your neighbors don't hate you I'm sure they would be a great place to start. Those are some examples simple summer jobs I did to make cash when I was 14ish.

I love doing it and get practice so win win. 06-10-2016, 02:34 AM
