Hello I am getting good framerates on some games but if I play something like Super Smash Bros Brawl my FPS drops to about 20. I have 8 GB RAM, ATI Radeon 5870, and an i7 quad core and hyperthreaded processor... My hardware is pretty good so it makes no sense to me that I am getting such low speeds. My friend gets speeds up to 60 FPS on most games and my hardware is like triple his, so it makes no sense that I am getting such low speeds.

What is the clock speed of your i7?

Bit too slow, 1.6Ghz on two cores (since dolphin only uses 2 cores) isn't really enough to give you good emulation.

If that doesn't work out for you, then probably it is not a configuration issue but rather power management issues of your laptop. |
