Low FPS until graphics update?

Alright, I have a strange issue going on here. So I just recently upgraded my graphics card (Purchased a ASUS GTX 750 Ti) in my PC to get framerate increases when playing all games.
However, after I upgraded the graphics card, I do get the framerate increases, and the main reason I got this graphics card was to fix any graphical lag issues in Twilight Princess for the GC, but this weird thing happens whenever I go into a new area in the game, where the GPU on the card gets completely maxed out, and I get diminished framerates (Approximately 12-15 FPS). After messing around with the settings for a bit, because I knew that there was no way that it could be getting bogged down, so I started messing around with the actual GPU clock rate, and every time I messed with it even by just one number, the moment I updated it, my GPU performance would decrease from 100% to about 30%, and I would get those high FPS rates with no issues again. However, the moment I entered another area, I would have to do the exact same issue again.

I've tried this with both D3D and OpenGL, and still have been incredibly stumped as to what could be causing the bottlenecking. Any suggestions? I currently have everything set to the default settings, so maybe there is something about TP that I missed that needs to be changed when playing this game. I've added a picture to show the massive spike with the change in GPU performance.

Thanks for any help in advance. Smile

*UPDATED NOTE* I currently have OpenGL on, and now the issue will sometimes just start in an area. The framerates will go from about 28-30 and just steadily drop down to about 1/4 of that (depending on the multiplier I have on). I have tried doing it on x2 for hopeful FPS gains, but still see it drop down to 17-18 FPS. When playing on x4, it drops down to 8-10 FPS.

PC Specs:
Intel Core i7 4771 @ 3.5 GHz (4 cores, 8 threads)
ASUS GTX 750 Ti (2 GB GDDR5, GPU base clock 1150 MHz, GPU max clock 1285 MHz, Memory base clock 5400 MHz, Memory max clock 5600 MHz)
8 GB DDR3-1600
256 GB OCZ Vertex4 SSD
1 TB WD-Blue 7200 RPM 64MB Cache
ASUS ROG Maximus IV Hero Mobo

I can post pics of the issues if it is helpful.

Post a video that shows every single setting in the graphics configuration and general tab and the game properties tab. Also have you set your gpu to high performance mode in the nvidia control panel? Are you using the latest development version of dolphin and have you enabled the speedhack in patches?

I posted the video on Youtube. Here is the link (I don't know why it killed the quality, but everything should be somewhat visible and readable...) http://youtu.be/J4XuJ40MA00

I am using version 4.0.2
Would it be better to use the most recent developmental versions? I was using them for a while but then switched to using a stable version just for consistency purposes (And because I sometimes like to play on different PCs).
As for the speedhack patch, I right-clicked on the TP ISO in Dolphin and hopped over to patches, and there was nothing under there. Is this something that should have some options on it? Or do I need to add them in there?

The new wonderful patch is in the dev builds, which are also way faster and more stable than the last official releases.
Make sure in the Nvidia Control Panel you have a Dolphin profile set up with the Power management set to maximum performance

Hmmmmm... I went ahead and downloaded the latest developmental build, and it had that patch setting on there. Turned that on, and the first time it gave me the 30 FPS I was needing, but the framerates were laggy. Taking it out of full screen (Not full screen, but when you maximize the screen with the second checkbox in the upper righthand corner) fixed that issue however.
I went ahead and edited the profile like you and Link_to_the_past suggested, and I haven't seen any bottlenecks. The only issue it has is when I put it in full screen (refer to reference I made about what I meant by full screen a few lines above), the visuals just look laggy and slow, but it says I am getting 30 FPS and 70-100% VPS.

*EDIT* It does the same thing in full screen too. I've got my native screen res set up to be 1920x1080, and the fullscreen res to be 1920x1080. Downscaling the internal resolution from 4x to 3x does not fix the issue either (Going further down the spectrum does not fix the issue either).

Set safe texture cache in the middle, the rest of your settings are fine. Also enable vsync just in case the tearing is an issue. And better use 3x if you have a full hd monitor to not stress the graphic card needlessly.

Alright, turned on VSync and set the texture cache to the middle. Set it to 3x quality. Here are the results:

I don't know you can notice it or not, but there is still that little bit of a lag on the framerate quality (Watch Epona as she moves). Any guesses?

*EDIT* I am starting to think that maybe I am going crazy... Meh, it works, screw the tiny lag for now. I was also using D3D, and it seems that switching over to OpenGL (Which everyone recommends nowadays) still has the same issues. It works and we fixed the bottlenecking, good enough for me. If it really starts to bug me, I will open up another thread. Thanks. Smile

Twilight Princess is a 30 fps game, that may be what you're seeing.
