I have used, turned on, turned off every setting performance related, I have all the big ones (EFB set to copy to Texture, Fog disabled, native resolution, no AA, no audio throttle) set to performance, and yet I cannot consistently get 30 FPS on such games like Super Mario Sunshine or Zelda Wind Waker. In some areas I get the full 30 FPS, others will get 20-25 (for example, the initial area in SMS, in front of the fountain, I get 26 FPS solid. Looking at my config, I shouldn't be experiencing this problem. Not at 600x480 at least... I am using the latest revision, but it happened in 2.0 as well.

My config:
Core 2 Duo T6400 @ 2.2GHz
nVidia G105M 512MB (OpenCL supported)
4GB DDR2
500GB HD

looking at your pc specs, yes it is expected to get those framerates...2.2ghz is just too little...and the G105M is in the low-end G100Series so i'm not surprised you get framedrops

Well looking at the requirements, they must be outdated, as my computer should be able to run it just fine, especially considering I'm running it at native resolution, not crazy HD resolutions. Oh well.

this graphicscard is not able to display any modern 3d without slowdown... i think even the 640x480 could be a too high resolution for this card.
or better:
the G105M has 8(!) stream processors and 4(!) texture-units with a 64bit DDR2 memory interface @ 500Mhz.
a very old geforce 8800GT from 2007 has 112 stream processors, 56 texture units with 256bit GDDR3 Memory interface @ 900Mhz

the G105M is so slow... i think it can't even display UT99 or Quake3Arena in 1024x768 with more than 30fps.

with only 8 stream processors i bet it is slower with openCL enabled than with openCL OFF.
for example: my HD5770 has 800(!) stream processors...

use it as 2D-card only, please ^^ (who made you buy that crap?!)
the cpu on your laptop is enough for dolphin... at least for many games - not all Wink

try to disable openCL ... should be faster for you.

No offense, but you are wrong. I am playing Crysis, Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2 and Prince of Persia on this very same laptop. As a curiosity, I downloaded Quake 3 Arena and got ~250 FPS with High settings.

Depends on the games. Generally, I get higher FPS with OpenCL On, but in some other games I see 2-4 FPS drop. Also, don't forget that nVidia's stream processors are unified, contrary to ATi's. A "top of the line" nVidia card like the GTX 280 has 240 stream processors, which are equivalent to 1200 of ATi's stream processors.
I know my card isn't all that but it is a laptop card after all, not a desktop one, and the performance I get has been acceptable in most cases for what I expected. I run many games in pcsx2 at full speed, for example, at HD resolutions.

Don't compare PC games with emulation, it's like comparing fruit with steak, it's not the same thing. Emulation, especially of last generation and current generation hardware such as PS2, GC, Wii is demanding, even more so than modern PC games. Even if you could run Crysis or GTA4 on max settings with no slowdowns, you could have terrible or less than adequate performance with emulation. Dolphin, Pcsx2 are mostly CPU bound, CPU horsepower and speed are the most important factors. Graphics hardware is the second important especially if you want to play at higher resolutions with AA + EFB and other options that tax graphics hardware.

For best performance with most (not all) games, it is recommended to have an Intel Core2Duo/i7 or AMD Phenom clocked at 2.8 Ghz - 3.0+ Ghz. Laptop hardware is also slightly underpowered compared to it's desktop counterpart.

So this is the reason why my HD5770 (5770!) outperforms a GTX480 (yes, a GTX480!) in wlan "cracking" or "passwordcracking" (bruteforce) via OpenCL?
and i am really pretty sure you are not able to play games from the PS2 at HD resolutions with only 64bit memory bandwith and DDR2 ram@500Mhz... or these games don't use textures at all... then it could be.

Took these right now:

Using Scaling x2 in GSdx, windowed to screen capture with FPS display on.

About all the rest, I dunno. That was not the point I was trying to make though, I was pointing out about graphics performance, not OpenCL.

and i was refering to the graphics performance of your card...
the games you took pictures from use textures that are only some KB small, with no shaders used at all - and you took them in low resolution.
gamecube/wii games usually use really much bigger textures - and mostly shaders too in the same place. extreme example: starfox adventures

the gamecube's hardware has a memory bandwith for texture reading of 10,4 GB/s
your graphics card has a maximum of 8GB/s for everything together.

you can't emulate a faster system with a slower system in realtime.
no matter how much you optimize!

in other words:
xbox360 on xbox1 is not possible
PS3 on PS2 is not possible
SNES on NES is not possible.

gamecube's flipper can do: 9,4 Gflops
your card: 38Gflops
a highly optimized emulator needs roughly at least 10x the power of the system you want to emulate in fullspeed with all features. (at least based on my knowledge ^^)
