Nah, they like to waste their time and money and use unsupported versions, since they know what the issue is (it's Dolphin's fault, of course, and D3D having more attention than OGL which is completely wrong).
For future readers though: if you're running OS X, it's really suggested to dual boot and use Windows because OS X GPU drivers are simply bad: inefficient (slow) and can sometimes cause graphical issues.
