Loss of FPS when switching from 2-d to 3-d

I downloaded super paper mario and have a fairly new dolphin SVN. The game run fines on almost every part. When i switch from 2d mode to 3d, the game goes down to 2.4 fps and takes about 1-2 minutes to switch to 3d. Why the hell is this happening, and how do i fix it?

My specs are
amd le-1620 @ 2.8 GHz *single core*
2gb ddr2 ram
vista home premium
nvidia geforce 9200 1GB

Please help me fix this, I really want to play this game!
