Hey,

As someone new to the forum it seems a bit counter-intuitive to have threads so jam packed full of solutions to peoples problems without having a new thread showing the solutions or adjusting the OP to help show the newly found data. I know it's a bit of work, but it'd definitely make finding answers to issues a lot easier.

Thanks Big Grin

I'd have to agree. The Search design and algorithm on this board is way too old and useless to be of any real help.
But then again, I guess anyone capable of making it better is probably busy developing Dolphin.
It would be a nice change though, but it won't stop people from making a thread, not to mention finding the game's thread, and people using search is like 5% of the users.. sad but true.

Things aren't perfect, but I think it's better to have all the information gathered in one thread rather than having hundreds of the same thread clogging up the forum with all kinds of information scattered around. Updating the first post in these threads is the solution, for now I guess.

That never happens. Why do you mention that. Some threads have revision 5xxx suggested as the latest and best. Finding actual useful settings for a game on the forums is nearly impossible without making a new thread or spending hours searching the 100+ page threads.
Thank god for the wiki, you should really put a flashy link to it so that people can get actual info, not old crap info that most of the time is wrong (talking about the first page of game threads)

The forum has plans to change things, but it likely won't happen for a while.

I'd be glad to help, but I'm currently learning Java and and C++, so I can't really help on the web coding side. Perhaps in a few years I'll make contributions to Dolphin itself, since I'm studying for Programming Engineer right now.
