I still don't really know if it's better to check it or uncheck it. Or is it only important for people with dual-cores?
Does it make problems or any differences performancewise?

Thx for clearing me up in advance Smile

Some people on their games thread recommend active it while others dont recommend it.
Mm....I tested with SSBM and whilout enabling: 26 FPS. VPS: 30-35.
Disabling: 23 FPS. VPS 38.
But like the others function when you put the mouse on them a mini-box will appear explaining its function but when you put on "Lock thread to cores" nothing appears. :S

Having "Lock threads to core" enabled means that the threads in dolphin will stick to one core. If the option is disabled, the threads will go to whatever core Windows decides (usually the core with the most capacity available).

Disabling "lock threads to core" can sometimes be slower because it adds a "context switching" overhead. This overhead is the small amount of work that Windows needs to set up on the thread on the new core.

Enabling "lock threads to core" can sometimes be slower because the core may get some extra workload down the line and be low on capacity.

In the end, try it and see. It'll be different for everyone - that's why it is an option.

thanks for explaining! Hm, so what do you think (just from the logic of what you explained...I'm not good with logic -_-) should be better for a quad-core which is mostly kinda underchallenged; at least two cores ^^

You should really try it and see, but my guess would be unticked for a quad core.
