I imported my Wii NAND into Dolphin, and also the SD card but the card WADs can't be opened, it says "this channel couldn't be activated in this Wii", NAND channels seem to work no issues except for the HomeBrew channel which just renders to a black screen and freezes.

Is there something am I missing? Do I have to configure the online settings? I read in a thread that you should have a copy of your WAD also in Dolphin in order to launch it, but I'm not sure why or how to do that.

Thanks for the help.

When you export a game to the SD card, it's encrypted to only work on your Wii. I know that I've tested it to work if you have all the keys and whatnot imported on Dolphin, but I don't remember the exact steps for it.

I see, basically I'm porting my physical Wii NAND and SD to Dolphin, so everything should be already there. I clicked on "Extract Certificates from NAND" and the certificate files are shown on User\Wii folder.

At least I know where to look will do some searches.

There is no need to have a WAD file unless you want to be able to launch the game from Dolphin's game list. As long as you have the NAND dump of the console (including the keys.bin file) and you have exported the game to the SD card from that same console, it should work. You might want to run Tools > Check NAND... just in case, though. Errors with the NAND are known to have an effect on the data management screens.

Check NAND reported no errors. The SD is definitively the same I used for my Wii.
It's been a bit long so just to be sure I will plug my Wii do a quick check and probably redump the NAND. I'm not sure if Dolphin is having issues with bootmi or priiloader, that might be it. Or maybe the HomeBrew version, I stopped at v1.0.7 because reasons.

BootMii and the Homebrew Channel are ignored by Dolphin (unless you actually try to launch them, which won't work). It's not impossible for Priiloader to affect things, but considering that you already are able to run the Wii Menu and launch channels that are stored on the NAND, I don't think that's the problem either.

Just to make sure, the NAND was dumped after you downloaded the game to your Wii, right? You won't be able to copy the game from the SD card otherwise.

To your question, I believe so because I have saves in my NAND from WADs in the SD, in any case I will try to redump the NAND. With copy you mean the copy Dolphin does to the NAND to launch the game from the SD right?

I was assuming you weren't launching the Wii Menu feature for launching directly from an SD card, but if you are using that feature, then what I said still applies and the copy I mentioned is the copy to the NAND that the Wii Menu automatically performs when you want to launch the game.

I didn't know there was another way to launch SD WADs, now I'm curious. I got to load the Homebrew channel, but I had to launch it through the game list, so now at least I have access to my apps. My system menu also is 4.1E, I read that most things require version 4.3, I'm really shooting in the dark and trying things out to see if something hits the nail.

Here I share my NAND syscheck from the Wii, and here from Dolphin's imported NAND. The console ID is different, that caught my eye. As I found the ID is generated from the MAC address, which is autogenerated, I think that's the part that is failing.
Is there a way to check my Wii MAC address from the NAND? So I can do a quick test before setting up my Wii.

Finally I unburied my Wii and did another SysCheck, also checked the MAC address, I input this into Dolphin.ini under WirelessMac and BBA_MAC but the SD WADs still refuse to load. Furthermore I did a new dump of the NAND but still no luck.
*To note importing the NAND in Dolphin didn't work, I had to manually decrypt and uncompress.

Now I'm going to create a 4Gb SDHC since that's what I was using for the WADs. I got to find all the relevant data that might be needed for authentication.

console ID: 89******
NAND ID: ec******
console keys: 05******
