Loading problem Melee

Hi, I'm new to Dolphin... I got everything I needed and tried to run Super Smash Bros. Melee, but the game will not load. I have tried it with Dolphin SVN R 1546 as well as SVN R 2536, both for win32.

I get the black screen with yellow text that says:
Cleared Code Cache.
Dolphin OpenGL Video Plugin.
CPU: GenuineIntel, 2 cores, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, ...
<Path where my file is>

The weird thing is that when I move the screen or minimize and restore it the screen goes blank and the "..." is where I cannot read further.
It says loading but nothing happens even after I wait. I read in another thread that this may be due to an incompatible game, but Melee is supposed to be fully compatible.

I'm on a laptop, but I thought it should at least load up even if it runs slowly.

System Specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 @ 2.40 GHz
Windows XP x86
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 (drivers updated today, and supports OpenGL as well as DirectX 9)

How do I make it work?

Idle skipping and optimize quantizers unchecked... and native resolution unchecked in graphics plugin.
Everything else is default.
