right click on game -> properties

The trick does not help with Rune Factory ToD audio in Dolphin standard build but it helps with Xenoblade HLE patch build. If you use HLE Patch (best is 3.0-750 ICC XBHLE Anti-Ultimate version) and the Idleskipping = off AccVbeam = on Trick, there are almost no audio issues.

Standard Dolphin has massive crackling while Xenoblade HLE version without the trick has medium crackling in RF.

For Xenoblade, I still prefer the HLE patched Dolphin since you can leave Idle skipping enabled and thus get more speed.

NO. I am not recommending you use 3.0, in fact, I already stated that it is a bad choice for this game. 3.0 is slow with Prime 1 for some reason, even my computer can't run it full speed all the time on 3.0. Most games are faster with 3.0 that newest, but Prime 1 seems to ignore that *shrug*. The best version for prime 1-3 that I've tested is 3.0-600. Newer versions have studdering with LLE (LLE really helps the sound effects), and 3.0 and company are alot slower with performance. 3.0-600 has proven to be very playable.

ESChinski Wrote:strange, for me the x-ray visor didnt work with EFB to texture

Tested on 3.0 and 3.0-600, both visors worked fine with EFB to Texture and DX9. Tell me the scene where it gave you trouble, your revision, and settings, and I'll reproduce it.

ESChinski Wrote:but now, in MP2, i discovered that even the scan visor doesnt work anymore with EFB to texture. so i HAVE to play it with EFB to RAM.

Right. MP2 and MP3 require EFB to Ram for the scan visor. MP1 however doesn't require EFB to Ram at all, from what I saw in testing it.

ESChinski Wrote:but you want to tell me that MP should run fine for me with EFB to RAM? No way, dude. just not possible. (And for me, 'runs fine' means that there is absolutely no lag).

I've been playing through the game with "absolutely no lag" with EFB to Ram and DSP LLE on 3.0-600. My CPU is a little faster than yours (roughly equivalent to an i5 2500K @ 5ghz) so you should be able to run it well too. What is your revision and settings?

Some wiki contributors seemed confused as to how exactly is this "trick" supposed to help in Xenoblade.
So I made two videos to clear up the confusion:

This is Dolphin 3.0-802 with default settings:
http://youtu.be/z-X7wXn5MXc

This is Dolphin 3.0-802 with idle skipping disabled and vbeam enabled:
http://youtu.be/IpSAhYHbqaA

As can be seen from the videos, sound is fine in second video, while it sounds awful in first.

My pc is i5 2400 and geforce 460 gtx.
I used default dolphin settings, just changed idle skipping and vbeam in second video.

Even if this fix does not work for EVERYONE,its proven to work, not only for me,but also some other users.
User GrimTonic has said ( in another thread about myleks xenoblade fix ) and I quote :
"So it seems that the audio works even better using the method rpglord posted"

This should definitely be in the wiki
