Hello there! I'm pretty new with Emulators, I currently haven't the slightest clue how they work, so instead of going apesh*t and messing something up. I I thought I would ask around see if I can get an answer.

I'll try to be brief.
I downloaded dolphin. I wanted to play Tales of Symphonia, the game ran smoothly except for one problem, the Audio is choppy and the music score is missing instruments. (Sounds like one person switching between instruments) Sound effects and voice acting work fine however.

I Searched around forums and found that other people had the same problem. There were a lot of suggestions but one kept repeating and apparently is the most successful.

Run the game with DSP lle plugin. (I have no idea what either of those words mean) So I went and tried to switch from HLE to LLE. when I tried to run the game it gave me the following message. "Failed to load DSP ROM" "This file is required to use DSP LLE it is not included with dolphin as it contains copyrighted dta."

"Use DSPSpy to dump the file from your physical console" <--I believe I'm being told to do something, but I have no idea what it is.

Well, thank you for taking the time to read this. Sorry if my post was too long or the information redundant. I just wanted to make sure I didn't left anything out.

Question in lamest terms:
"How do I run the game with the LLE plugin"

You won't able to use LLE plugin with your current specs , LLE require a beast PC (intel i5 2500k @ 4.0Ghz +a mid-end graphic card) to run at 100% speed or else the audio will be choppy , lag

HLE stands For High Level Emulation, and LLE for Low Level Emulation. To use the LLE audio Engine you need the original audio roms from nintendo, a couple of files that must be dumped from your own wii. To do that, you must use a software called DSPSpy.

http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=3823

You need to have a Wii to do that. Any other way of getting them is illegal, as they are property of nintendo.

Fixed "HLE" to be "LLE" for you. Also note that these aren't backends (that's what DirectSound, XAudio2, ALSA, etc are) but DSP engines..

Thx. Yeah I didn't know how to call it since they are not plugins anymore, so now I'm using Dolphin's GUI name Wink (DSP Emulator Engine)
