Little save issue...

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on this... I've been playing Wind Waker over the course of the last several builds (3661 and up.) It's been working great on 3785, so I've been playing all day. Somehow I corrupted my memory card, but kept playing for a few hours using save-states.

I really need to save back to the memory card if possible. I created a nice clean card, and tried fixing the checksums in the one that got corrupted, but Wind Waker keeps telling me they're damaged anyway. (probably because something screwy got saved in the save state) I can load my game just fine from the fixed one from the game select screen, but I can't save to it while playing the save state.

I lost sound somewhere along the line, but saved the state inadvertently. If I can get my memory card to work again, I can save, come back in, and the sound will be back again. Also, since build 3788 breaks save states from previous versions, this would be helpful to move forward to new builds.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

from what ive been reading it may have to do with the ucode fixing.

log message for 3788: DSPHLE: Try to make zelda ucode savestates safer (sorry, this'll break your
current states, as usual).

I went back to a (VERY) old (relatively) save state to where the sound was still working. I played back through carefully, and am now able to keep going with sound. I still can't save back to the memory card though, so I'll be stuck on build 3785 for the duration of the game it looks like. Not such a bad thing since it seems to work fairly well, but still a bit of a pain. Especially since so many nice fixes are going into the emu.
