We have a list of Gamecube games, but none for the Wii, or have we ?

Apart from wildly different performance depending of the particular smartphone model, the compatibility should be the same from the desktop version...
Avell A70 MOB: Core i7-11800H, GeForce RTX 3060, 32 GB DDR4-3200, Windows 11 (Insider Preview)
ASRock Z97M OC Formula: Pentium G3258, GeForce GT 440, 16 GB DDR3-1600, Windows 10 (22H2) 12-13-2019, 08:54 PM
But no lists specifically for Android hey ? Because alot of those tested are probably on good pc's so when you go to try on something like a nvidia shield tv, they probably run slow ?

Like I said, the only difference between emulating a game with Dolphin on Android vs Dolphin on PC should be the game speed, which will greatly vary depending of the device. If you're looking for a performance comparison list, there's none AFAIK...

Games playing at less than full speed at this point are largely due to CPU performance problems which vary widely on mobile or GPU drivers not implementing API features we need to render fast, which again, varies.
It makes no sense to maintain a "speed list" when every device will perform differently. You don't make performance lists for PC games outside of benchmarks, right? Too many configurations. Same deal. 12-14-2019, 06:38 AM
Maybe i should of just said for the Nvidia shield tv then, because thsts what I own. But I didnt think enough people owned one

Someone made a list for the Nvidia Shield TV here, actually: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-un...h-settings
But I can't vouch for its accuracy. I tested a few and the only one i could get to run with close to full speed was Naruto. Either Dolphin isnt very optimized for the Shield or maybe just not powerful enough. Its wierd because it plays Dreamcast games so well with Redream with HD resolutions and thought it would be able to play Gamecube and Wii as well. 12-14-2019, 03:42 PM
The shield tv was essentially the reference device to use for 64 bit Dolphin development.
The shield tv is also old. Many flagship phones are significantly faster than it in CPU, and probably GPU now as well. |
