Will I get base_vertex if I update the revision to "OpenGL ES 3.2 V@145.0 (GIT@If3b409a3da)"? Judging by Golden Sun's hardware info, I don't see base_vertex anywhere in Display, even though his revision is "OpenGL ES 3.2 V@145.0 (GIT@Ibfa210bc2a)" (https://youtu.be/HLU2KGBeiZg?t=41s).

It's a core feature of ES 3.2, it will just always be there. As long as it says ES 3.2, it has it.
It can say ES 3.2, or base_vertex, or both. However the video driver vendor wants to do it. 09-01-2016, 02:45 AM
I've waited through almost the entirety of August (one day until September begins), and the security patch still hasn't arrived for my device!

You may not even get the drivers right away depending on the software chain you have. What is your device model? It may be possible (with a full wipe) to switch Samsung software variants using ODIN(and as long as it's a Samsung firmware you don't hit the flash counter. ). Some regions share a single hardware SKU for multiple different software chains. 09-01-2016, 11:39 AM

Hi. I have read this article abouth the new processors for 2017, and the future SG8. The GPU will mount an Mali-G71, the specs are very interesting for the european version with Exynos core, not american sapdragon/ardreno. OpenGL ES 3.2, 3.1/2.0/1.1, Vulkan 1.0 and OpenCL 1.1/1.2/2.0 Full Profile APIs.
May be this time we can see more playable games like Resident evil and zelda saga. What do the experts think abouth this specs I put the link for the new GPU https://www.arm.com/products/multimedia/...li-g71.php
Right now Mali is a dead end for Dolphin. OpenGL backend is hitting a shader bug which might be a driver bug or Dolphin bug. Someone needs to look at this issue properly (in order to submit a report for ARM if it's on their end) but Dolphin on Android is barely maintained since Sonicadvance1 left the project. Vulkan backend is also having problems to render anything, that might be again due to bugged Mali driver. GL/Vulkan logcats didn't exposed anything interesting, making it impossible to report this to ARM. Arthemis and Bifrost sounds interesting (though I don't have high hopes as Dolphin absolutely destroys any SoC thermals + DVFS) but they could have another random regressions like icache or shader sampling bugs, anytime. ARM on their end tend to ignore any replicating scenarios provided that include Dolphin. Don't get too excited about S8

Very bad news abouth the dolphin community in phones. The last hope could be that the processor could run to the 3.0Ghz? Some of the games realy only need some more power? Maybe 10-15 fhz more for playable
