I've been experementing with your emulator for quite some time after whacking my Wii with a wrench constantly to get it to run the bloody disc dumper software. I've been experimenting with the SVN revisions and whatnot, and, well, here's my question.
Speed-wise, should I use Ubuntu 10 or Windows Vista? Here's my specs:
Nvidia 8600 GT, factory OCed,
AMD Athlon X2 @ 2.4 ghz,
and I don't think it matters but a tiny little 100gb HD.Sad
Also, my graphics card handles OpenGL better then DirectX.

Dolphin on windows is far better than dolphin on linux.

The fastest platform for dolphin is Windows x64 currently. Linux x64 and Mac OSX have been hampered by the paired instructions JIT not working correctly. Windows XP is missing a memory exception handler which slows down the emulator in certain situations too.

Gotcha, thanks. I'm currently running on Vista x86 but sooner or later I'm going to get a bigger HD and Win7 x64
