Linux Mint - Adapter Not Detected

I have the issue of the Wii U Adapter not being detected, I've tried all day to try find the solution but I can't seem to solve it.

System:
Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon 64-bit
Intel i7
16GB Ram
GTX 550 Ti

Tried with Dolphin Version:
4.0-6930

What I've done:
- Followed the wiki (here)
- Had udev rules in both etc and lib directory paths
- Moved the Adapter to every combination of USB Slots (only have USB 2.0 slots)
- Turning it off and on again...
- Controller in each slot in the adapter

Thanks for any help anyone may be able to give.

Have you updated libusb to the latest version?

If the adapter works when Dolphin is run as root, then it's a udev problem.

He's probably with libusb 1.0.17 from the repo. There's a 1.0.19 version in Externals, do we really need this version? It's only bugfixes, and the deb packaging says >= 1.0.16
